The British Poultry Council’s Annual Awards ceremony at the House of Commons was a fantastic event again this year. British Poultry Council President, Ted Wright made the most important point that yesterday was an event ‘to recognise the commitment and passion that individuals have brought to the poultry sector…these awards are not for long service, they are for excellent service.

It is quality people that drive the industry, and many spend a whole career in our sector. They inspire confidence both inside and outside their companies, and are the backbone of our industry.’

Ted continued; ‘We must ensure that the next generation is given the skills and knowledge to carry the industry forward.’
