Technical Advisory Committee The Group’s Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) will oversee the imminent Duck Assurance Scheme and the accompanying Quality Assured British Duck mark. It comprises member companies’ technical and farming directors; the TAC also has independent specialized poultry vets.

The
Duck Sector Group represents duck farmers and integrated duck producers
and processors, responsible for 90% of British duck sales. It is the
most comprehensive body representing duck in the country. Duck accounts
for some 5% of the primary meat market. In 2006 some 18 million ducklings
were reared for meat in Britain.
